Howes played football for Principia College and Capital University. On October 11, 2001, during his senior year of college, his father got into a car accident. His father’s accident is what pushed him to become a better athlete. He then left college early to pursue a professional football career.
Early in his professional career he crashed into a wall during a game and broke his wrist, his career ended shortly after.
