12 of the Most Famous Eckhart Tölle Quotes on the Power of NOW
“Most humans are never fully present in the now, because unconsciously they believe that the next moment must be more important than this one. But then you miss your whole life, which is never not now.”
Eckhart Tölle
“Time isn’t precious at all, because it is an illusion. What you perceive as precious is not time but the one point that is out of time: the Now. That is precious indeed. The more you are focused on time—past and future—the more you miss the Now, the most precious thing there is.”

Eckhart Tolle
“The moment you realize you are not present, you are present. Whenever you are able to observe your mind, you are no longer trapped in it. Another factor has come in, something that is not of the mind: the witnessing presence.”
Eckhart Tolle
“If your mind carries a heavy burden of past, you will experience more of the same. The past perpetuates itself through lack of presence. The quality of your consciousness at this moment is what shapes the future.”

30 Motivational Eckhart Tolle Quotes on Love, Death and Gratitude

Eckhart Tolle
“A genuine relationship is one that is not dominated by the ego with its image-making and self-seeking. In a genuine relationship, there is an outward flow of open, alert attention toward the other person in which there is no wanting whatsoever.”
Eckhart Tolle
“Die to the past every moment. You don’t need it. Only refer to it when it is absolutely relevant to the present. Feel the power of this moment and the fullness of Being. Feel your presence.”
Eckhart Tolle

Eckhart Tölle Short Biography
Born on 16 February 1948, in Lünen, Germany, Ulrich Leonard Tölle, who later changed his first name to Eckhart, is an author and spiritual leader.
Tölle recounts his childhood in post-war Germany as unhappy, and after his parents separated, he moved to Spain with his father.
At 19 he moved to England, where he taught German and Spanish for 3 years. Tolle would find himself plagued by anxiety and depression.
While in England he enrolled in the University of London, studying philosophy, psychology, and literature.
In 1977 he was offered a position to do post-grad research at Cambridge University, but stopped shortly after. In the same year, he experienced a transformative revelation.
Tölle used his newfound outlook on life to become a counselor and spiritual teacher, and dedicated the next few years of his life to discovering more of himself spiritually.
In 1995 he moved to Canada, and two years later published his first book The Power of Now. Despite its initial lackluster reception, the book gained a spot in The New York Times Best Seller list in 2000 when Oprah Winfrey promoted the book in her magazine.
Eckhart Tölle is the author of several bestselling books such as Stillness Speaks: Whispers of Now (2003), A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose (2005), and Oneness with All Life: Inspirational Selections from A New Earth (2008).
