Chadwick Aaron Boseman Short Biography
Born on 29 November 1976 in Anderson, South Carolina, United States, Chadwick Aaron Boseman was an actor who portrayed several historical figures and is most known for his role as Marvel’s Black Panther.
Boseman graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts in Directing from Howard University in 2000. As a student, his teacher Phylicia Rashad with the help of her friend, actor Denzel Washington, raised funds for Boseman and his classmates to attend a mid-summer program.
In 2003, Boseman was cast in his first TV role as Reggie Montgomery in All My Children. He was fired after his first week of work after he voiced out his concerns on the character’s racist stereotypes.
Boseman starred in his first regular role in a TV series for Persons Unknown in 2010. Three years later Boseman was cast in the film 42, which would be his first starring role portraying baseball player Jackie Robinson.
Chadwick Boseman appeared in his most prominent role in 2016 when he was cast as King T’Challa, also known as Black Panther, in Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War film.
Boseman made a significant cultural impact in the African-American community in the United States and to people of color all over the world when Black Panther was released in 2018.
