Mick Jagger Short Biography

Born on 26 July 1943 in Dartford, Kent, England, Sir Michael Philip Jagger, more commonly known as Mick Jagger, is the singer and frontman of the Rolling Stones.

Jagger was a student at the London School of Economics, where he studied finance and accounting. Unfortunately, Jagger did not earn his degree.

Jagger and the band members of Rolling Stone had their first performance under the band name at the Marquee Club in 1962. Jagger left college a year after that performance.

Throughout the band’s career, Jagger and fellow band member Keith Richards became a songwriting duo, much like Lennon and McCartney.

Their first international hit (I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction was released in 1965 and is considered one of the most popular anthems of rock and roll.

In the 1970s, Jagger started to cement his rock and roll persona. During the Rolling Stone’s 1972 American tour Jagger started wearing glittery makeup and glam-rock clothing, which he became famous for.

In 1985, Jagger left the Rolling Stones to pursue a solo career. He performed solo during Live Aid, a charity concert for Africa.

Jagger is known all over the world for his charismatic performances and bluesy songs. Jagger is considered a rock legend to this day.
